Could I suggest a Visual aspect gets added to the Order manager and Delivery manager that indicates how long each current order in the "pending" and in "progress" state has been in this state for for example if you receive an order it should show a little timer on that counts up the amount of time the order has been in that state and you could set timing guidelines for a circle around the timer that changes color maybe from green to orange to red... Indicating that the order has been there for quite some time? I believe that this will assist order management from a visual standpoint for the order manager to pick up quickly that they need to focus these orders and get them going.
